Car parts

Car parts can be seen strewn about landfills. In fact, car parts can take up a whole heck of a lot of space in landfills. If only there was a way to make car parts disappear… if only there was biodegradable car parts existed… well, researchers at the University of Warwick believe that biodegradable car parts are more than a possibility – they could be a reality.

They worked hard and came up with the possibility of biodegradable plastic car parts. These car parts would not be made from your standard plastics, though. No, these car parts would be made from Miscanthus (also known as elephant grass). Its hard to imagine that car parts made from a grass could be strong enough to withstand what a car goes through, but it is possible. It is also hard to imagine how such car parts would not start to biodegrade while your car is on a road trip, but they would not biodegrade unless properly composted.
